Head Chef

HEAD CHEF - UPSCALE ITALIAN RESTAURANT

We are looking for an experienced and passionate head chef to lead our kitchen team in a busy, high volume upscale Italian restaurant.

This is a position for a chef who operates at the highest level - someone with extensive experience in premium Italian restaurant, a deep understanding of authentic Italian cuisine, and the leadership ability to deliver outstanding food consistency in a demanding, high-volume environment.

THE CHEF WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You will have :

• Extensive experience as a head chef, executive chef or senior sous chef in high-end Italian restaurants.
• A deep knowledge of regional Italian cuisine, traditional techniques and contemporary Italian cooking.
• Experience managing large-volume services while maintaining exceptional standards.
• A genuine passion for Italian food, quality produce and attention to detai.
• Strong skills in menu development, food costing, purchasing and stock control.
• Proven ability to lead, Train and inspire a large professional kitchen brigade
• The confidence and experience to manage a busy service calmly and efficiently
• Exceptional standards in taste, presentation, consistency and execution.
• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and kitchen systems
• Excellent communication, organisation and people management skills.
• A hands-on approach and abilty to lead from the front

OUR EXPECTATIONS

Our Kitchen operates at a high volume and high standard, and we expect our Head Chef to set the benchmark for the entire brigade. You will be responsible for maintaining consistency across every service, developing your team, controlling kitchen costs and ensuring that every dish leaving the pass reflects the quality and reputation of the restaurant. We are looking for someone who is disciplined, passionate, professional and driven to achieve excellence.
